Spicy Air Fryer Salmon Cubes

What you'll need.

  • 600 g salmon fillet
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp mixed pepper
  • ½ tsp fish seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Boiling water, for loosening the skin

How to make it.

  1. Pour a little boiling water over the skin side of the salmon, then lift off the loosened skin carefully.
  2. Pat the salmon dry and cut it into evenly sized cubes.
  3. Add the sriracha, paprika, mixed pepper, fish seasoning, salt and oil.
  4. Mix gently until every cube is evenly coated, then arrange the pieces in one layer in the basket.
  5. Air fry at 140°C (285°F) for 12 minutes, turning once, until the salmon is just cooked and lightly browned.

My tips.

Cut the salmon into equal cubes and leave space between them so they cook evenly without drying. For a milder variation, replace half the sriracha with honey or sweet chilli sauce.

Good to know.

Can I season the salmon ahead?
Yes. Keep it covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours before air frying.

Can I use frozen salmon?
Thaw it fully and pat it dry before cutting, otherwise the cubes may steam instead of brown.

What should I serve with it?
Rice, cucumber salad, or steamed green vegetables are all lovely with the spicy salmon.
