Honey Sesame Air Fryer Almonds

What you'll need.

  • 1 cup raw almonds (about 150 g)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • ¼ tsp salt

How to make it.

  1. Place the almonds in a bowl and drizzle with honey.
  2. Stir until every almond is lightly coated.
  3. Add the sesame seeds, poppy seeds and salt, then mix again.
  4. Spread the almonds in a single layer in the air fryer basket on a suitable liner.
  5. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 6 minutes, shaking once, then cool completely so the coating can crisp.

My tips.

Watch the almonds closely during the final minute because honey and seeds can darken quickly. For a warm-spiced variation, add a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom before cooking.

Can I make the almonds ahead?
Yes. Cool them completely and store them in an airtight container for up to one week.

Can I replace the honey?
Maple syrup works, although the finished coating may be slightly less sticky.

How can I serve them?
Enjoy them as a snack, add them to a cheese board, or sprinkle them over yogurt and fruit.
