Honey Sesame Air Fryer Almonds

Warm almonds coated with honey, sesame and poppy seeds become glossy, fragrant and gently crisp in only six minutes. This easy air fryer snack feels wholesome and satisfying, and it is lovely for sharing, packing into small portions, or topping breakfast yogurt.
What you'll need.
- 1 cup raw almonds (about 150 g)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp poppy seeds
- ¼ tsp salt
How to make it.
- Place the almonds in a bowl and drizzle with honey.
- Stir until every almond is lightly coated.
- Add the sesame seeds, poppy seeds and salt, then mix again.
- Spread the almonds in a single layer in the air fryer basket on a suitable liner.
- Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 6 minutes, shaking once, then cool completely so the coating can crisp.
My tips.
Watch the almonds closely during the final minute because honey and seeds can darken quickly. For a warm-spiced variation, add a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom before cooking.
Good to know.
Can I make the almonds ahead?
Yes. Cool them completely and store them in an airtight container for up to one week.
Can I replace the honey?
Maple syrup works, although the finished coating may be slightly less sticky.
How can I serve them?
Enjoy them as a snack, add them to a cheese board, or sprinkle them over yogurt and fruit.
