Creamy Herb Air Fryer Chicken Breast

Sour cream keeps this sliced chicken breast tender while cumin, basil and Provençal herbs add gentle savoury flavour. A little sriracha at the table brings brightness, making this a quick, protein-rich dinner for busy evenings. It suits busy weeknights.
What you'll need.
- 1 large chicken breast (about 400 g), sliced
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp Provençal herbs
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Sriracha sauce, to serve
How to make it.
- Slice the chicken breast into even pieces and pat them dry.
- Season with salt, pepper, cumin, basil and Provençal herbs.
- Add the sour cream and mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Arrange the pieces in one layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 12 minutes, turning halfway, then serve with sriracha.
My tips.
Cut the chicken into equal pieces and avoid crowding the basket so it cooks evenly. For a milder variation, replace the sriracha with sweet chilli sauce.
Good to know.
Can I coat the chicken ahead?
Yes. Refrigerate it in the sour cream mixture for up to 8 hours.
Can I use chicken thighs?
Boneless thighs work well and may need a few extra minutes.
What should I serve with it?
Rice, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad are all easy choices.
