Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Champignons

Large champignons filled with a creamy mushroom and onion stuffing, wrapped in crispy bacon and baked in the air fryer until golden. These little bites smell incredible and disappear fast. An easy, impressive snack for guests made from a handful of ingredients.
What you'll need.
- 8 large champignons, plus 2 for the filling
- 2 onions
- Fresh parsley
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon cream cheese (Philadelphia style)
- Bacon slices
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper
How to make it.
- Remove the stems from 8 large champignons. Finely chop the 2 extra mushrooms and the stems.
- Fry the chopped mushrooms with the chopped onions in a little oil until soft and golden.
- Stir in the chopped parsley, minced garlic and cream cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
- Fill the mushroom caps with the stuffing and wrap each one in a slice of bacon.
- Air fry for 20 minutes at 180°C (350°F) until the bacon is crisp.
My tips.
Secure the bacon with a toothpick if it will not stay in place, and set the mushrooms filling side up so nothing leaks out. A little grated cheese on top in the last minutes makes them even more indulgent.
Good to know.
Can I prepare them ahead?
Yes, stuff and wrap the mushrooms in advance and cook them just before guests arrive.
Can I make them without bacon?
Yes, brush the caps with oil and top with cheese, they will still be delicious.
Do they work in the oven?
Absolutely, bake at the same temperature for about 25 minutes.
