Air Fryer Bacon and Egg Toast

Crisp toast, smoky bacon and a softly set egg come together in one wonderfully simple air fryer breakfast. It needs only a few everyday ingredients and ten minutes from start to finish, making it ideal for busy mornings when something warm and satisfying matters.

Crisp toast, smoky bacon and a softly set egg come together in one wonderfully simple air fryer breakfast. It needs only a few everyday ingredients and ten minutes from start to finish, making it ideal for busy mornings when something warm and satisfying matters.

What you'll need.

  • 3 slices toast bread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 6 thin slices bacon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray or a little oil

How to make it.

  1. Lightly oil a shallow air-fryer-safe dish or line the basket securely.
  2. Arrange the toast slices inside and press the centres down gently to make shallow wells.
  3. Lay the bacon over the bread, leaving the centre of each slice open.
  4. Crack one egg into each well and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes, or until the whites are set to your liking.

My tips.

Use room-temperature eggs and make a clear well in each slice so the whites stay on the bread. For a lighter variation, replace the bacon with turkey bacon or sliced tomato.

Good to know.

Can I make several portions at once?
Cook only as many slices as fit in one layer, then repeat so every egg cooks evenly.

How do I make firmer yolks?
Add 1 to 2 minutes to the cooking time and check after each minute.

What can I serve with the toast?
Fresh fruit, sliced avocado, or a simple tomato salad will round out the breakfast.
